This is great! For Maine – I would recommend hitting Black Mountain of Maine in Rumford, Maine. It’s a really good community hill with great facilities. You can check out my review here: http://bit.ly/sjaqdv. For your Saddleback visit – be sure to check out my definitive guide to all 66 trails at Saddleback. http://bit.ly/saquEd

    Have fun!

I’m really looking forward to visiting the mountains in Maine. Their idea of a small mountain is just crazy (I’ve heard Saddleback described as “small” by locals). I think Black Mountain Maine will probably happen later in the season. Any recommended month for going there? Some places shine in the middle of the coldest months whereas others are way more fun once spring skiing/boarding hits.

Even though it’s a bit out of the way, I’d recommend hitting up The Balsams midweek. You may just be the only one on the mountain. You’ll love Burke and Jay Peak (two other mountains I’ve spent a lot of time on).

The Balsam is on my secondary list – those who are really far away, so most likely require grabbing some lodging. Plus, I wasn’t sure if they were going to open this year (still not sure), but it sounds like they’ll at least continue to be around in the future. Sweet!

Any favorite trails there to check out?

This design is spectacular! You certainly know how to keep a reader entertained. Between your wit and your videos, I was almost moved to start my own blog (well, almost…HaHa!) Great job. I really enjoyed what you had to say, and more than that, how you presented it. Too cool!
